Rendezvous’ home—the Fraser Valley—has a rich history and unique Rocky Mountain lifestyle. Because of its strategic location along the west slope of the Continental Divide, this area became a major crossroads for travelers exploring the West. Visitors—from Chief Ouray of the Ute Tribe to President Dwight D. Eisenhower—arrived from all directions. They came by various means of transportation from horseback on mountain trails, to the stagecoach, and eventually by Highway 40 over Berthoud Pass. In fact, Rendezvous is on the historic Cozens Ranch, the site of the first stagecoach stop west of the Continental Divide in the 19th century. Over the years, this simple rendezvous point for individuals became a gathering place for larger groups and communities.
Today, Rendezvous carries on the century-old spirit of the area and continues to be a prominent gathering place for family and friends, respecting mountain traditions and the authentic heritage of the Colorado West.
