FASTEST SELLING COMMUNITY IN WINTER PARK

Rendezvous tallies 14 resort home sales in two months

The fastest selling community around Winter Park continues to be Rendezvous-14 sales of resort townhomes in just two months. "We're most enthused to see so many families recognizing that now is the perfect time to purchase a resort getaway, at prices that will never be available again," says Silvio DeBartolomeis, Vice President of Koelbel and Company, Rendezvous' developer.

"But the brisk market here is more about the value people see in our location and our quality construction," says DeBartolomeis. "They want the private ski shuttle that Rendezvous residents have to transport them the short distance to Winter Park's base mountain, and the year-round vacation amenities that Rendezvous families enjoy."

Just over an hour from Denver

…Starting with the quick, easy access to Winter Park from Denver: just over an hour, without the hassle and delay of the Eisenhower Tunnel. "The views that you have from Rendezvous are as dramatic as anything in the state," says DeBartolomeis. "Rendezvous is so close to Denver that you can get away for weekends here, winter or summer, without a serious driving time commitment."

Meanwhile, Winter Park is being transformed into a year-round resort experience...with a new, world-class rec center with resort-style pool, lazy river and splash-down area, directly across from Rendezvous...a new outdoor amphitheater for summer concerts...terrific new shops, restaurants, and base area development...

Plus all of the attractions that were here when the Koelbel family began vacationing in the Fraser Valley 90 years ago!...terrific fishing (residents have their own, stocked trout pond, and the prized Fraser River runs through Rendezvous), access to 600 miles of National Forest trails, four great golf courses, as well as hiking, biking and picnicking right inside Rendezvous itself.

Local brokers from Coldwell Banker Mountain Properties welcome visitors to Rendezvous' Real Estate Discovery Center, where you can view resort homes for every budget: ranch-style cabins, townhomes with attached garages, and luxurious custom homes. Continue on Hwy 40, 1/4-mile beyond the Town of Winter Park, turn right at the Rendezvous Moose. Call 970-726-8200 or visit RendezvousColorado.com.

Koelbel and Company buys Coldwell Banker Mountain Properties in Winter Park

Koelbel and Company, developer of Rendezvous and creator of many of Colorado's most attractive communities, has purchased Coldwell Banker Mountain Properties (CBMP), Grand County's largest, most experienced real estate company.

"Colorado's future has become much clearer this year, and Winter Park and the Fraser Valley have become much more important destinations, because of their beauty and proximity to Denver," said Walter 'Buz' Koelbel, Jr., President of Koelbel and Company, in announcing the move. "Having a close association with CBMP and its team of experts is a strategic initiative that positions Koelbel and Company to shape many exciting opportunities here."

Chris Mygatt, President and COO of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage, largest brokerage in Colorado, said the acquisition will create new relationships between CBMP and 1,200 Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage agents who serve families in the Denver area. Founded in 1981, CBMP has continually been the number-one holder of active listings and sales in the area, currently totaling $227 million.

"This move shows great confidence in the Fraser Valley's future, by Winter Park's preeminent developer," added CBMP Broker Owner Dennis R. Saffell.

Koelbel and Company has already tallied $108 million in lot/home sales within Rendezvous. The Koelbel family's involvement in Winter Park dates back to the early 1900s. Buz Koelbel's grandfather Carl Norgren worked as a logger in the valley, and later built nearby Byers Peak Ranch into a fishing retreat that became famous as a summer White House for President Eisenhower. "The beauty of the Fraser Valley will be even more important in the future," Koelbel told agents last week. "With the revitalized base mountain, world-class golf courses, spectacular lakes for fishing and boating, and a new rec center, this is not only a 'Winter Park,' but a year-round playground." CBMP's team of Grand County property specialists are at 78902 U.S. Hwy 40 in Winter Park and can be reached at 970-726-5500 or on the web at CBMP.com.
