Take it Outside for better health

August 11, 2019

Small steps lead to BIG changes. If all you do today is spend just 15 minutes in the company of Mother Nature, your doing you mind, body, spirit good and the environment good! Check this out:

• Instead of taking the car, bus or taxi, take walk instead. On average, you’ll burn about 100 calories for every mile, and you’ll help reduce carbon dioxide in the environment.
• Your lungs will benefit too. That’s because the EPA estimates that indoor air is 2-5 times more polluted with particulate matter, than that of the outdoor air. That’s an average of 75%!
• Your mind and spirit will lighten up as well. It’s been well documented that being in the presence of natural light has a positive effect on our mood and feelings of well being.

Small steps really do lead to BIG changes…so take it outside for a walk, run, jog, bike ride, skate, or just to meditate on a park bench. Your body and the environment will thank you!
