To Feel Better, Take a Step Outside

November 25, 2019

Feeling a little “out of sorts?” Could be that your feeling cooped up in the office and not getting enough fresh air.

This time of year many of us spend our time indoors where the air is stale and the light artificial. The elements of modern day-to-day living act to drain our energy systems and the air we breathe. Electrical equipment, heating and air-conditioning, computers and TV screens all have a disparaging affect on the air we breathe. As a matter of fact, the EPA estimates that indoor air is two to five times more polluted than outdoor air—even in the most industrialized cities.

Fresh air has an extraordinary effect on human beings. When we stop to think about it, oxygen is one of the primary reasons why we exercise. Along with feeling better, exercise enhances our body’s ability to deliver oxygen as nourishment to our brain and working muscles. Our lungs make the first real contact with the world, so it had better be filled with the freshest air!

Don’t ignore these feelings, instead turn to your Mother. Mother Nature, that is. She holds the cure for much of what ailing us.
